Bruce Gustafson

Bruce Gustafson is the Charles A. Dana Professor of Music at Franklin & Marshall College (Lancaster, Pennsylvania) and the Editor in Chief of Oxford Bibliographies: Music. His writings have mostly centered on French music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, including two works that have become classics in their field: French Harpsichord Music of the 17th Century (Ann Arbor, UMI Research Press, 1979) and A Catalogue of French Harpsichord Music: 1699–1780 (with David Fuller, Clarendon Press, 1990). Currently he is working on a comédie-ballet by Lully and Molière (1670) and an opéra comique (1869) by Théophile Semet for the complete works of George Sand.
